【Report】The 7th GI-CoRE Medical Science and Engineering Symposium
The 7th GI-CoRE Quantum Science and Engineering Symposium was held at Clinical Medicine Lecture Building, Hokkaido University School of Medicine on August 18 (Sun) and 19 (Mon). It was organized by Global Station of Quantum Medicine Science and Engineering (GSQ) and Department of Radiation Oncology, Stanford University School of Medicine.
This international symposium consisted of 3 sessions with the focuses of "ultra-high dose radiation therapy (FLASH)", "model-based approach (MBA)" and "4-dimensional radiation therapy (4DRT)" respectively. Each session was concluded by stimulating interactive discussions. In addition to distinguished experts from Hokkaido University, the symposium welcomed an excellent array of renowned speakers from Stanford University, International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU), Oxford University, Kyoto University and National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology.During the symposium, there was a poster session in which 17 posters were presented by early career researchers from Japan, Italy, Ghana, Taiwan, Vietnam and the United States. The winners were announced during the networking reception.
The symposium ended with a great success, as evidenced by the great turnout with a total of 190 participants and many positive remarks from the participants.
