GI-CoRE Summer School for Medical Physics 2015
Following the successful outcome of last year, our Global Station is providing a great opportunity again for graduate students in Medical Physics to participate in the GI-CoRE Summer School at Hokkaido University. If you are interested in radiation therapy from a Medical Physics perspective, please join us!This summer school is open for all international graduate students, not only for Japanese students.
1. Period: June 12 (Fri)-18 (Thu), 2015
2. Place: Proton Beam Therapy Center, Hokkaido University Hospital, Sapporo, Japan
3. Course Details and Program
- Main Focus: Basics of Medical Physics, Particle Therapy and RTRT, Practical skills at Linac, PBT and Planning System
- Program: GI-CoRE SummerSchool Program 2015_updated final
- All lectures will be given in English
4. Lecturers:
- From Hokkaido University : Prof. Hiroki Shirato, Prof. Kikuo Umegaki, Prof. Masayori Ishikawa etc.
- From Stanford University : Prof. Lei Xing, Dr. Ruud Vinke etc.
- From NIRS: Prof. Hideyuki Mizuno
5. Course Fee: FREE
6. Number of students to be accepted: 10-15

Financial Support: In case a student from developing countries wants to apply for the scholarship, he/she will be requested to submit application form and CV to the registration office of the Summer School at SummershoolQMSE@oia.hokudai.ac.jp. Based on the application and CV, 2 students will be granted the scholarship (round-trip flight ticket to Sapporo and free accommodation in Sapporo).
