【Report】 2025 GCB Summer Schools conducted face-to-face
The 12th GCB Summer School for Medical Physics and the 8th for Molecular Biomedical Science and Diagnosis were held onsite from August 18–22, 2025, in collaboration with Stanford University. This year saw a record number of applications, reflecting growing international interest.
Nineteen participants from eight countries joined the programs, which were also accredited under the Hokkaido Summer Institute and the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering. Attendees included students and professionals from academia, healthcare, and industry.
Lectures were delivered by faculty from Hokkaido University and invited experts from Stanford, Kyoto University, KIRAMS, Mayo Clinic, and Hitachi. Sessions featured active Q&A and approachable instructors.
Hands-on training remained a highlight, offering rare access to advanced techniques. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants praising the organization and academic value, and expressing interest in future collaboration.
